NOW

As a member of the Prime Care Coordination community, we are proud to work with you to ensure that every support, service and resource is readily available for you and your family’s wellbeing as our communities struggle through the ongoing public health crisis. But our state government is discussing potential cuts that would threaten access to our services across New York.

Together, the Care Coordination Organizations of New York are launching a campaign to Safeguard Our Lifeline. Governor Cuomo needs to know that New Yorkers expect his support to preserve the CCOs funding -- this means the connections to essential resources utilized by over 100,000 individuals and their families. We’ll need to flood the Governor’s inbox with messages about how CCOs make a life-changing difference to our communities so his administration understands that this funding is essential. Please ask Governor Cuomo to help stop the cuts to New York’s Care Coordination Organizations.

For many, CCOs are a safety net and advocate for people at every stage of life. Especially as we battle the adversities intensified by COVID-19, we cannot afford to lose these crucial protections. Funding cuts would increase caseloads, exacerbate existing inequities, and devastate people with I/DD and their families who rely on CCO services every day. We’re sharing our stories and standing together so that the I/DD community cannot be ignored. Send Governor Cuomo a message.

We’ve been able to continue offering support through the pandemic thanks to our incredible Care Managers and community -- from helping parents find engaging activities for their children with intellectual disabilities, to safely getting food to families as they self-isolate. We’re not stopping now. We need every voice together to keep our organizations running and to keep our communities strong.

Thank you for using your voice to protect care coordination for individuals with I/DD.
